It takes special people to be caregivers.  It’s about more than just qualifications and experience.  It takes a “spirit of caring” and a passion for making other people’s lives better to be a Libra caregiver.

To ensure we find only the best caregivers for our clients, we use an extensive screening process.  Less than 5% of applicants are even invited to an interview!

Caregivers must have clear criminal record checks, proof of their professional credentials and two professional references.   We then look for caregivers who are passionate about caring for seniors and support them with ongoing training and supervision.

We are very proud to have 2 caregivers on our team who have received “Heroes in the Home” 2011 Caregiver Awards from the Champlain CCAC.  Vicky, a warm and compassionate woman with over 20 years experience, and Jill, a fourth year nursing student passionate about providing one-on-one care, were both recognized for their dedication to their clients in ceremonies this past spring.  We’re proud to have caregivers like them as part of our team.

Inviting someone to provide care for you is a very personal thing.  Ultimately, the best care depends on finding the right match for our clients – someone that they can relate to, someone who is genuinely interested in their well-being, someone they can trust.
